Story precession is a great addition and surprisingly well executed. It’s also not sufficient. It’s only affecting households while they are not played and doesn’t affect your gameplay experience while you’re actually playing with your active households:
-No inherent personality of the sims
-wonky emotion system drives both personality and gameplay, which was a big development mistake
-simulation lag
-no wants-based play style support for me and fellow Sims 2 fans
-lack of consequences, challenge, and depth
