So apparently, we really have to play offline now and the EA app setting does NOTHING. I tried to play my game and it just started updating instead. I'm SOOO upset! I restarted with just a few mods and I NEED THEM, NOT game updates - I need my mods and I awnna play. I'M SO UPSET!!!!!
OK, canceling the download and going offline let me play. But I had to be fast and pay attention. This still stinks and I'm still so upset, like I gotta wait for my body hormones to calm down, which is just too much unnecessary garbage for me right now. *huff*
That's exactly how i got shafted the last one. Now i start the EA app beforehand, making sure TS4 doesnt start, until im sure there is no "update required" mention in the EA app librairy.
Yep, today I decided that's how I'll open my game, too.
I have run into this problem multiple times. None of the how-to's work for me. But I was able to make a copy of my Sims 4 game folder, before I let the game update. I only discovered there was an update, when I sought the new EP. which was sitting in my Add-ons list waiting to be downloaded. (I knew I was tired when I first returned from the week-long excursion, but really? I mean really? How did I miss that?) Oh, well, it did serve to give me that heads-up. II installed the patch and then did a game repair.
When I get around to playing my game today, we'll see if I have problems.
