Sims 4 wall heights

Is it possible to have one building with short walls and one say with taller walls? I am building a ranch and I want an indoor arena and when I go to try and make the walls bigger in the arena it makes the walls bigger everywhere. Is there a cheat or something I can use or will the walls always just be the same height?

No. All at one level will have the same height.

That being said, there is a way to bring a part of a lower or upper level to that level. Then use the up/down to make it seem like it's on that level.

    Excellent question.
  • As Admiral8Q said, all walls on the same level have the same wall height.

In order to do as Admiral8Q said, you can build a 2-story building, delete the ground floor/main level. Then with the arrows to raise/lower foundation, drag the 2nd story room down. You may have to work with terrain tools so the room doesn't float. You'll then have to do something similar with the roof. KateEmerald did a tutorial a long time ago on her channel. It explains it better. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: Sorry, I was mistaken. It was a tutorial for something else. I did find a tutorial for using roofs on halfwalls though.

You can also adjust the platform height up or down in one of the buildings. I don't have Horse Ranch so I don't know how good routing is with horses. I would suggest using platforms in the main living space. Any area the horses aren't going may need to be flat.
  • Thank you. Had that suspicion as had the same problem a few days ago. Appalling decision on EA's part to have the wall coding done that way. It is common knowledge that on a multi-building lot there could well be different wall heights for different sorts of buildings. They made foundations independent some years ago, so why not this?

I dont think it's possible with two on the same lot- game automatically matches the height. I saw some tutorials with "spilt level" building tutorials then linking the with stairs or platforms, which is so tricky, and hard to do, but it still makes each level parallel match.
