No, all those things came later. The open venues were only the library and the museum, and a park. Open venues had to be handled later in LN, not before.
Yes, the base game had a library, a museum, a park, a beach and an academy. But 4 base game also had only 4 open venues... so what i think is that both were very similar in what concerns to rabbit holes...
