One of the things that I would like to add to this conversation that I have considered making a separate thread for (but find this thread a good place to state it) is to 'borrow' one of the features that is in City Skylines (although largely unexplored by me) is an ability to have worlds that are capable of being 'themed' - in that a single 'world' could be chosen to be loaded with an Asian aesthetic, a Future one, a 'Run-Down' one, an 'Americana' one (such as we currently have), completely empty, or whatever, and have that possibility then be expanded upon with pack releases. I feel that so much could be done with this kind of a system, and could have the potential to make such a wide swath of players Happy with the built-in capability to customize any world space the way they want.
At least when I daydream about a more replete 'Your Game, Your Way' system, that is what I think about...
