Sims 5 suggestions for different elements and expansion packs

I'm a total Sims 2 fanboy, and I don't really trust Maxis or whatever they're calling themselves these days with Sims games anymore, but I got to thinking. If they did make a Sims 5, why not combine personality points with traits? Have both. Why was this not implemented in The Sims 4? Best of both worlds.
