Sims 5 will be multiplayer & selling CC Creator's content

So it will be Toontown online pretty much. So much for Sims going the modern route. LOL

This just repeats what players said they wanted for sims 5.

I think sims 5 will be different from sims 4, as in having open worlds and similar complex mechanics, both things laptops in 2014 couldn't support.

It maybe will have some coop, to be played with friends? But not total strangers, that's terrible idea.

Besides, after Anthem failure and canceling multiplayer in Dragon Age 4, I think they realized that not every game is meant to be multiplayer.

EA doesn't learn....they keep trying to put multiplayer in all their games. You'd think they would have learned this in 2013 when SimCity flopped, but nope! It's 2021, and we're still having this conversation.

I guess they want to see if they can destroy both of their long selling Simulation franchises. Although, they've had success with their mobile online Sims games....whereas we've not heard a peep out of a SimCity re-re-boot in years.

@ClarionOfJoy you're right about Mod the Sims. However, a lot of talented modders and CC creators use sites like Tumbler and Patreon these days. It's not all in one place as it used to be. I don't mind browsing a few websites, though. I just thought it would be handy if you could download mods directly in game. Or if the game could notify you about updates and mods that are outdated or broken.

Not that I think it would actually happen. Some mods break the T-rating by a lot.

And if it did, EA would probably find a way to charge for it. Which, that just shudders me to my core...

But after how many years and which version? Wasn't the second one an online multiplayer compared to the first one? And what number are they on now? I haven't kept up with that game since they turned the second one into multiplayer. Took them quite a few years to 'learn' didn't it?

If it's a multiplayer game then there wouldn't be access to mods and cc anyway, unless EA decides that multiplayer game has a marketplace to sell those things to the players. So, either way, single players would have lost out on cc anyhow.

Only Inquisition (third game) had multiplayer mode, and it was separated from single player. DA2 didn't have anything multiplayer.
