The autonomous actions don't bother me so much, although the pathing with the toddlers, especially when it comes to feeding them, drives me insane. They pretty much traverse the entire house before they put the kid in the toddler seat.
I've been playing since Sims 1, so... uh, the AI is always fine compared to that game. I left the game on overnight one time. Left to their own devices, all of my Sims died.
