Sims cannot directly drown sims

I'm amused at the people arguing semantics. "Sure, sims can die but it's not a sim directly causing the death". Yeah but the players often go to great lengths to kill their sims. It's part of the game. I'm not sure how mermaids being able to cause a sim to drown would be so awful in a game where the developers take joy in putting in creative ways for sims to die to begin with.
