Sims can't make meals

I have had this happen, but it was on a lot where there were multiple kitchens. All the kitchens were in their own self contained apartments behind locked doors. Never used to have a problem with sims cooking on this particular lot, then all of a sudden (maybe after a patch) they wouldn’t cook anything on a stove that required a two step process, that is prepping on a counter then taking it to the stove. Routing fail every time, even though the stove was right there in front of them.

Even though my situation was different to yours (you prob don’t have multiple stoves on your lot) I did find a work around. It might work for you - I found that the sims could complete a meal if I clicked on the stove to select the dish instead of the fridge. Give it a go, I will cross my fingers for you. :)
