Sims don't do snowboarding and skiing club activities

I wonder whether club activities can be fulfilled on neighborhood terrain rather than on the club hangout lot itself?

They can, but I don't know if things off the actual lot give the attraction required to get Sims to go do it autonomously.

@kaiwrysims, one thing you don't mention...do the other Sims actually have snowboards?

I'm pretty sure they can't snowboard without one, so maybe get some extras and gift it to them to see if that gets them on those boards.

I have a skiing club set up in my game as well, but have yet to actually go and have a club gathering there so this thread and what you find out will be helpful to me.

Ok I took forever to test out @Stormkeep's suggestion. But I finally did and I gave all sims a snowboard and skiis and it took awhile but finally one of the members automatically went snowboarding. I will have to try it out again to see if the sims will go and snowboard or skii instead of first going into the onsen.

Awesome, glad it at least...kind of...worked. I'll have to make sure to get snowboards and skiis for all the folks in that club in my game too. Thanks for following up @kaiwrysims

@Stormkeep another update. I tried again and all the sims in the club seemed to prioritize using the onsen than doing the club activities. I got them to snowboard together and they lined up and did it which I was happy to see but two of the club members were kinda frozen at the bottom of the slope. And they were glitched into each other. Then because I made them snowboard one time instead of continuously, they went back to the onsen. I thought that maybe if they were close to the slopes they would do it autonomously. But nope they still prioritized the onsen.

So I'm not sure if it's because of the onsen lot. Maybe if I had them gather somewhere else... but idk where else it would make sense for them to gather. Since I want to set it up so they will be snowboarding and skiing if I have another sim outside the club visit the mountains. From my understanding if I set a rental lot as their club gathering then they will only gather when a sim is at that lot. And if I had a sim rent out the rental they gather at then they will always be there and go inside the house and etc.

I will try it again without mods and then try making a bug report.

Have you tried to add spa/onsen activities as banned for club members? Maybe that will keep them from using the onsen, and more interested in using the slopes.
I once had a cafe where both a gamer club and a painting club had their hangout. All of them were constantly on the computers. After I banned using the computer for the painting club, they finally took interest in the easels.

I still haven't gotten around to getting my own ski club out to the slopes, so your input is going to be very useful once I finally do.

That's pretty brilliant. I wouldn't have thought of that for my own ski club.
