Sims eat too fast!

Especially after they gave us picnics. Now it seems pointless to go through all the trouble of cooking, packing and traveling to eat 2 bites lol ?

I was extremely annoyed that they nerfed the eating instead of giving us a choice. Quick meal would have been a fair option to eat fast for those in a rush. But leave the rest of the meals alone!

It makes a mockery of dining out, and family meals are no more. But I guess no matter how much it ruined it for some of us, they will never consider changing it back.

The other day I wanted my sims to have a family meal, well, two of them had already finished before the others were seated. I don't mind that they're eating faster now, but if they could at least wait until everyone is seated at the table....(which is what you're supposed to do, but sims have no manners :lol: ).

I always felt like the Sims ate too SLOWLY. They'd take like, half the day to have a short meal and then we wouldn't be able to do anything else. I was really pleased when eating times were sped up. I'm very glad for shorter eating times.

Heh, in my house my mum's always complaining I eat too fast...

I generally like the faster meals most of the time. But I wish they would have speed up the time for the bite animation instead of reducing the number of bites.

But I agree with most here that this makes it difficult to have a family meal. It would have been nice if we had an option for slow dining as well. For story telling purposes or screenshots.

It isn't bothering me. I wish showers could be shorter too.

You must be the first person in the history of the franchise to complain meals are to short.

I already posted in this thread, but I’m still upset about this. I really wish someone would make a mod to change eating back to how it was before. I’ve been looking for months. I tried Bienchen’s more consumption turns and it was too fast.

@MDianaSims I've done it this way as well when I want my sims to have a family sit down meal.

Another work around that can also be bit of a chore if you have parenthood, is setting the table. I've found that when the table is set and you put the meal in the center of the table then use the call to meal interation, sims who grab a plate will sit where there's a table setting.

Coolspear had a mod that put eating at 8 bites. I think we should have been given a choice. Fast eating when everybody is in a hurry to go to school, to work or do an activity or other and longer if we have a family dinner. In real life sometimes we rush our meals and sometimes we eat slowly and take our time.
