Sim's favorite drink?

How does that work?
Every sim in my game seems to have the same favorite drink. In finnish it is called "Ohranen". "Barley...something". It looks like a beer because the icon of the drink is a pint with foam on top.
Yuck. Beer?? There are all kinds of fancy drinks around and everyone drinks beer?? Even all the snobs like Altos and Landgraabs etc always order that same "drink"...

It's usually one of the cheap drinks that a low level mixologist can make (probably so inactives and townies don't go broke just from spawning at bars). However, I did have one snob sim who couldn't order her favourite drink because the bar tender didn't have the level for it.

I noticed families tend to share a favourite sometimes too.

Does it actually remove money from (NPC.. neighbors) them when they mix drinks? That's kind of cool but scary too if it does. I never checked also but I always wondered when I used the ask for large loan on some of my characters if it actually took money away from that family.

I think it does, because I've occasionally chosen a NIW townie to play, and their 20k starting budget seems like it's been reduced by the cost of a few drinks and snacks. I haven't studied it in detail though.

I wish there was a way to choose what the Sims favorite drink is. Maybe have Sims could order the same drink then after a while that drink becomes the Sims favorite drink. The one that gets chosen in my game is usually a root beer float.

So, I think that EAPA is a type of beer. (IPA) Cool. Now we're talking a good variety of bar drinks, I have an idea. I'm thinking about building a sports theme bar & reataurant on the X-Box One variant of my game. With both Dine Out and Get Together, it's quite possible. Call it, Frank's Beer and Grub.

I overall like this feature and am usually curious to see what the sim's fave will be (usually cheap, but not always). The weirdest one I've encountered so far is a teen having a minty dog drink as a favourite (which he can't drink because as you can suspect, it's for a dog). :smiley:
