Sims Four Live Mode is Lacking
While I LOVE the aesthetics of the game and how it looks, actually PLAYING it is tedious and repetitive and boring. I don't know what it is. Is it the lot types and how the game codes them to play...

Even though I love the aesthetic of the Sims 4 and have racked up an embarrassing number of hours played, I agree that live mode can get boring after awhile. There are a lot of times where I'll just make a sim in CAS with no intention of playing with them because it's so tedious to start.
The only reason I have save files that span more then a couple generations is because I take my time and write my own stories for them and I play with A LOT of mods. I can't even imagine what this game is like without anything, let alone just playing with the base game.
