Sims getting too fat or too muscular in City Living?

Noticed how much a problem it is in game, when I have my sim lingering a lot in certain spots that have food stall. Or even when you're just in the apartment, but can still see below the sims walki...

My sims don't even go out, and end up like that if I don't play them for a couple of sim days.
I had a curvy girl who now looks more like a body builder, meanwhile her bf went from average to being build like a block, he's turned into a brick, totally rectangular. She must workout, and he sits watching her, eating snacks.
