Sims not gaining hygiene from showering in bath/shower combo

In my sims household they have the bath/shower combo, when I send them to shower they won't gain hygiene, they will only gain hygiene from bathing. I tried using the stand alone shower, and that works...

It’s a bug that SimGuruNick is aware of and trying to fix. For now the only work around is to have a separate shower and tub, or have your sims take baths.

Popped back in to add, if you don’t want to remake all of your bathrooms LittleMissSam has a small mod to fix this.
