Is anyone else having issues with their sims not opting to cook at all? They used to cook all the time and leave their food up until the patch yesterday. But, now no one is cooking and they're just eating yogurt. Just yogurt. Nothing else.I even changed one of the sims' likes to cooking and baking to see if that would help, but it hasn't.**Sorry, I don't know how to take this out of "General Discussions"

Nope, but that could be because for the longest time my sims didn't have a refrigerator when I played today. I'll be playing my test save for experimenting with the new features tomorrow though and I'll let you know if I experience this.

Lol ? this community. Months were spent griping because sims were constantly cooking/baking. Now there’s griping because they don’t cook very often. It’s so random and impossible to understand.

I prefer having my sims cook meals so I end up assigning them what to make now. I've noticed that otherwise they all grab quick meals. Having them cook and eat different things is a way that they all differ from each other. I do remember that they were ridiculously obsessed with the popcorn maker to the point that I'd have to hide it, I don't know if that has changed.

Even though I like to cook if it’s not an occasion, frankly I just grab something quick and eat in front of the television.

I'm glad Sims have stopped cooking food leaving it to grab a snack. I did notice they didn't cook yesterday but were grabbing snacks. I assumed they had to like cooking now to be interested. I didn't pay attention to what snacks so I'll do that next play.

I've noticed that they're starting to eat other Quick Meal foods. Someone ate a sandwich yesterday. But, yeah. No one is automatously cooking meals anymore.

To be honest I don’t see how this is unrealistic. This is how most people including myself are. Even though I like to cook if it’s not an occasion, frankly I just grab something quick and eat in front of the television.

Constant cooking/baking wasn't the problem. It was doing those things, finishing, and then standing there forever or walking away and letting it spoil.;p

Constant cooking/baking wasn't the problem. It was doing those things, finishing, and then standing there forever or walking away and letting it spoil.;p

That was one complaint and others complained about autonomous cooking in general happening too much.

It's all about balance. They would cook and cook and cook, leave everything on the counter, and starve without intervention.
Sure they eat, now, but the autonomous cooking is completely zapped. Grabbing a quick meal for every meal doesn't satisfy their hunger for very long. I now have sims waking up at 2 am to eat.
Sims used to have balance, which is what I would like back.
