@crocobaura , thanks. I'm still confused though. Is this something we keep? I like the food stands, they look good, especially the trailer one (it looks like something you'd haul behind a vehicle). Oh, plum, now everyone will say this is a hint that cars are coming :D
Never mind, I just read something online. It's a concert festival of some sort, and we can buy stuff and do some karaoke or something. The only thing that would tempt me is that trailer food cart.
I think I'm not the audience for this.
Thanks, EA. I'll keep my money.
edited to add the last 3 paragraphs.
The Trailer Food Cart is from Eco Lifestyle, it's the Footloose Beverage Bodega by Roving Joe
Food:
Popcorn Crickets (§12)
Cricket Meal (§18)
Bombardier Beetle Stir-Fry (§50)
Drinks:
Chamomile Tea (§5)
Coffee (§5)
Earl Grey Tea (§5)
Ginseng Tea (§5)
Green Tea (§5)
Hot Cocoa (§5)
Oolong Tea (§5)
(I copied this from Sims Wiki, too lazy to double check it. I hope it's correct.)
But the one next to it looks like a new Festival Stand, like the ones they have during the Festivals in San Myshuno (City Living)."EnkiSchmidt;c-17918229" wrote:

Weeeeelll, after a session in cas.fulleditmode they could be anybody's favs B)
I'll certainly try turning the trio into a 70s rock band or maybe The Highwaymen (but in a side save, and perhaps only at the last day of the event, in order not to corrupt anything.)
I'm way too excited about this little thing, lol.
The Highwaymen? Are you talking about Waylon, Willie, Kris, and Cash? If so, you're super cool.
It seems like it's free at least, the website reads:
"The Sims™ 4 is your ticket to the concert. Select the platform you'd like to buy it on here."
And if you click your platform link, it just takes you to buy the base game.
Anyway, if it is indeed free I might check it out, disappointed it's not giving us the opportunity to create bands, but I did predict this one, so I guess I should check it out.
Would have preferred Blackberry Smoke or The Struts though.- Someone on Twitter asked: "I'm confused. Is this for everyone or limited???"
The Sims replied:

Plaintext of the Tweet for those who need it:
Both? #SimsSessions is an in-game event available from June 29 to July 7! Starting on June 29, everyone who owns #TheSims4 will be able to join in and experience the musical event until July 7 at 10 PM PST - burnished_dragon4 years agoSeasoned AceI guess I will be checking it out for July 1 Holiday.
- I think this will work like the festivals in City Living and Snowy Escape. You will get a pop-up notification and pressing the button will load your sim into the festival area. The npc sims will perform their songs on a stage, it will probably be similar to how the sims use the karaoke machine. When their sets are finished your sim can play the piano or sing into the microphone. This would have been great way to introduce drums but I am not getting my hopes up. Free stuff will probably be t-shirts with the artist logos and any new CAS created for the performers.

I'd hardly call what those two do "singing." /jk - JustMeAlb4 years agoSeasoned Ace
My guess is that they'll set it up as a Free Trial like they did for City Living a while back, which could suck for people like me who couldn't get the Free Trial to work .... but than again being that I can't be bothered to even look up who these performs are, whatever. - It’s just going to be like watching sims sing karaoke. Not at all like watching a real show or a band.
- Simmerville4 years agoLegendOne thing I dislike with these events is that they can only be experienced for a limited time, then it's all gone. I wish the night of the dead could repeat every Fall, and there was another challenge including a tree root, and you should collect enough seeds(?) to make the tree grow. In one of my lots there is still just the root, I never had time to complete the quest. For music festivals, why not repeat it 2-3 times every year? I would not mind if the songs were the same, for all we know climbing that stage after the show might be the funniest part...
Here's some tips for your sim:
Practice singing, piano - or even write some new jokes.
Bring a camera - taking pictures to hang on your sim's wall might be the talk of town for generations to come! "My granny actually attended that old days' concert festival, here's the proof!"
If you plan to woohoo in a tent, make sure nobody brought a camera. You don't want your future grandchildren point on a framed collector's photo at the museum and say: "The woman woohooing in that tent was my granny!".
Prepare some cool winter wear in case it will be freezing cold in your hood during the festival. You could always try to impress those singers by making a snow angel with the help from their music vibe ;) - https://twitter.com/SimGuruFrost/status/1408157325290999810?s=19
