Sims Team; who is Maybell Watson & what happened to her?!

So my sim had a Henford Heart-to-Heart with Sara Scott the other day and she told a really dark ghost story (see pic below). 

Firstly, where did that come from?! The other Heart-to-Hearts are all nice and cosy compared with this!

Secondly, how is Maybell related to Thomas Watson and what on earth happened to her?!  I need to know.

I'm not alone in wanting answers either.  I posted about it on a Reddit forum and most of the replies are all asking similar things. There are some theories that Maybell is somehow connected to Michael Bell, the Creature Keeper, as there is the name similarity as well as an old rusty bike in his garden!  Are they on the right track?

Please put me out of my misery lol!

    i have never seen that one before hmm , i still got some Watsons alive in my genplay i will check if there if there is more to this if they have passed on secrets down the line .. sounds like a full scaled story and it makes me wonder if it's connected to another pack.

    @JuniperWhimsy I haven't heard this story (yet) in my game. Have you tried looking out for the ghost bike like Sara suggested? I think I need to do this now, lol. Maybe that's the bike you can see: the one near the creature keeper?

    I will do the same now when i have more time , going to take a tiny break from the legacy play and explore a bit!

    Yes it's that bike with flowers so .. hmm wonder if it's  visual experience or an audio thing.. ok time to find out..

    After reading this I keep staring at the discarded bike at the creature keeper's cottage and I'm looking suspiciously at Michael Bell now! But the bike also has a gnome on it too, so does this confirm my theory that all gnomes are not to be trusted? Is the gnome a clue?

    I needs to know!

    @simsplayer818  did you see anything? Mike didn't tell me much more then i already know about Mike ( won't spoil).. the bike didn't move one inch.but then again it was winter..

    You know i was thinking about that gnome too.. last time they were not so friendly .. infact i had to remove them from the family i was currently looking into  ( i tend to hop around and check so everbody is doing ok even if some of them are just townies) The gnomes were busy breaking everything in that house and  even tried to start a fire at one point.. so something strange going on the gnome world that is certain..

    @MissNenne I just had a thought, I might start watching it overnight to see if it does anything. The gnome sitting on it looking a bit smug made me think it might be a clue. But I do really distrust gnomes (hate gnomes, my friend buys them to annoy me). My Sim that's doing the Reaper's Event is best friends with Michael Bell so I'm going to try having lots of chats with him too.
    I love these little stories in Sims lore. I hadn't seen this one before... it's by far the creepiest!

    That is just so evil with the gnome prank i hope you have found a way to pay back that kind of "kindness" 👿

    The gnome knows it's being watched , when i get my save up again i will return to the crime scene but hide behind a tree or something :D

    Yeah i mean for all who have gotten to know the Watsons and Mike.. well.. it's story on it's own. ☹️

    True it is awesome to find out tiny stories like this , they are like a hidden gem and add something special to the game 🙂

    Thank you @MissNenne and @simsplayer818 for keeping this thread of mine going; I still want to know what on earth happened to Maybell! Someone suggested on my Reddit post that maybe Michael Bell is Maybell after transitioning? Who knows? I really like the Gnome theory though as Gnomes are everywhere in Henford - are they trying to tell us something?!

    I didn't know both the Watson family and Michael Bell had discoverable secrets MissNenne - is that something you find out just through playing the characters? I don't tend to play as the NPCs that ship with the packs so it's not something I've come across before!

    Oh you got a point.. i just never thought about in how many gnomes you actually see in Henford but now when you mention it.. Hmm what are they up to...

    @JuniperWhimsy and @MissNenne I've been watching Michael Bell so closely! I'm sure it's totally unrelated but he spends hours sitting on that bench next to the bike! My Sim has been spamming Henford Heart to Hearts with him, but not got anything out of him. He's a bit obsessed with the time he saw someone killed by a rabbit. It's all he talks about but fair enough if I witnessed a killer rabbit slaying I'm sure it would be my main topic of conversation too.

    I accidentally deleted the Watson's 🤦 but I looked up their story on Sims Wiki, it's an interesting tale!
