Sims Won't Use Computers

I have no problems with computers in my game. My best guess - the problem is in the chair, not in the computer itself. 1) if it's custom - they are broken with the last patch and sims can't use them 2) if it's not - sims still sometimes have routing problem where they first need to be sited on the chair then ordered to use PC.

Also check any clutter that may be on the desk with MOO (or sometimes even without) If the items's footprint overlaps with the computer's work area, Sims may decide that the computer is inaccessible, but not tell you that's the problem.

What DaWaterRat said, if you have too much clutter on the desk sims doesn't want to use the computer. You can bypass that by telling them to sit in the chair and then tell them to use the computer.

@bluzkat65 I had a similar problem with my sims refrigerator; after being able to use it they suddenly couldn't. After I went in to build/buy and moved it then put it back where I had it my sim could use it again. Not sure if it'll work for you, but worth a shot I suppose?

I had this issue recently. It was because I hadn't noticed that one of the Sims in the household placed their empty plate on the desk after finishing their meal. It was basically under the keyboard. I didn't even know that could happen and I couldn't see the plate until I picked up the computer in build mode. After I removed the plate everything went back to normal.
