I basically see these new classes as another benefit from maxing a skill. If I got it right, your sim needs to max a skill to give a lecture. With the ticket kiosk the sim can turn the maxed skill into a business, maybe combined with other offers. It gives me flexibility and many new business ideas, but mostly I'm glad there is now another benefit from actually maxing the skill. I will still play University, because that is a much bigger thing for ambitious students.
