Skill classes

What is the difference between skill classes from university, and these new ones coming with businesses and hobbies? Besides on is a rabbit hole and these new ones are not, is there any other difference?

  • You're most likely aren't obligated to attend classes.

I guess with right reward traits sims can learn faster than in university sit-in classes. But that's speculation.

But you cannot obtain Mixology degree from the B&H classes. I think...

  • I basically see these new classes as another benefit from maxing a skill. If I got it right, your sim needs to max a skill to give a lecture. With the ticket kiosk the sim can turn the maxed skill into a business, maybe combined with other offers. It gives me flexibility and many new business ideas, but mostly I'm glad there is now another benefit from actually maxing the skill. I will still play University, because that is a much bigger thing for ambitious students.

  • Our sim can also be the teacher. This will be great for creating our own schools.

So glad they didn’t end this game after 5 years like the earlier sims games as this will be much more fun than another university pack.

As far as I can tell they do the classes live instead of a rabbit hole. You can effectively make a school for skills.
