I have both and I think Snowy Escape has way more family-oriented stuff. Everyone from toddlers to adults can go sledding. There are two festivals that are fun to bring kids to, one is completely kid-oriented. Hot pot is delightful for a family to eat together. The world has locations for hiking and other group activities that are fun with a family. There are well developed townie households with kids and teens in them.
PS If you don't have Seasons, the snowy neighborhood in Snowy Escape might give you access to the Seasons snow gameplay- build snowpals, make snow angels, toddlers playing in snow- but confirm that elsewhere, I'm not positive since I had Seasons already.
