Snowy Escape: What Is the Setting To Have Sims Take Off Their Shoes On Household Lot?

Is there a setting for Sims to take off their shoes on a lot? I wanted to implement this in my Sims homes but don't see it. I totally must be missing something lol. If anyone knows...please do tell...

There is a sign you have to hang up on the wall. You can also disable sims from taking off thier shoes on this sign.
