So...

I decided I would start a new household in my game today. I didn't think the caretaker of a toddler could die. Mine did. I'm really thinking maybe I should NOT have kids babies or toddlers in my active household at all. Well her grandma she was living with and her caretaker since her dad died of embarrassment early on and grandma died of laughter. I know I can use MCCC to disallow for emotional deaths but like that, it adds to the gameplay. My child got invited to join Partyhaus. I didn't think they would offer an invitation to a child because of club activities like drink bar drinks, and romantic interactions with everybody. I agreed because of the information she can later pass on to Max Villareal and Malcolm Landgraab. Jade must have been drinking too much juice while Mr Rocca and Mr Flex were working out at the gym. A child can dance but can't do any smooth moves on the dance floor. I'll have to add in be friendly as a club activity so my child can take part in club activities or find a mod that will serve apple juice at the bar so my child can go there and have fun watching the adults act stupid and laugh at the chaos happening all around her. She really is a good kid. A very good kid.

  • Sounds crazy @drakharis Hope you’re having fun.
I may have had a few fires (luckily none resulting in death, yet -whew); but no emotional deaths.
Partihaus for a child sounds kinda buggy, but then the kids can do clubs like League of Adventurers, so they’re obviously part of the clubs system.
  • Just curious, but why did you think that a toddler's caretaker(s) couldn't die? Also what do you mean by caretaker? The parents, someone who has adopted the toddler as a care dependent, or just any sim in the house old enough to take care of a toddler?
  • I knew parents and anyone old enough to take care of a child could die but I never had somebody old enough to take care of a toddler die. That is why I thought that. I never looked at Partyhaus's requirements before and again I just thought it was open to teens and older. A teen Sim can dance they might not be able to have the full range of romantic interactions that a young adult has but that is fine with me. I would have thought there was an age restriction for Partyhaus even if it wasn't an actual restriction that if we were to look at the club restrictions and a hidden one.
  • Moments like this I really love 'MCCC adopt neglected children' feature. Like most sim iterations, once the adult sims die...it's game over. Usually, the kids disappear(unless their teens). So I'm really glad for a feature that gives the young surviving heirs a chance at a new life.
