I knew parents and anyone old enough to take care of a child could die but I never had somebody old enough to take care of a toddler die. That is why I thought that. I never looked at Partyhaus's requirements before and again I just thought it was open to teens and older. A teen Sim can dance they might not be able to have the full range of romantic interactions that a young adult has but that is fine with me. I would have thought there was an age restriction for Partyhaus even if it wasn't an actual restriction that if we were to look at the club restrictions and a hidden one.
