Happy Birthday!!

Was the move objects cheat activated when building and then placing the lot? That could make the trees disappear if they were placed a bit off lot.

As for the lost progress, if you use CC, it may not be showing up in your Library unless you have that checked.

Apart for those two options, I honestly have no idea what the issue could be.
