I just have to say I was terrified. Most of the bigger patches have ruined my game saves. So far, and I played for a good two hours yesterday, things seem to be running just fine. Phew! I'd like to say I dodged that Phaser blast. (Star Trek reference for those who don't get it.) Road to Fame, which I did NOT remove, is working so far. I have to test it more thoroughly by sending my Rock Star to a live concert, over the 'away' concert the Rabbit Hole. I will also have to test out the magazine shoot by having my Sim ask them to come to him, which makes it live.I was also so very astonished at how quickly the patch downloaded and was installed. I either have a great rig, and/or my WIFY is living up to the advertisements on TV. Go Xfinity!MCCC so far shows no problems. I do have to check the list, just to be doubly certain. But all of that anxiety I went through has been abated. Thankfully, the election is over with, too. Now, I just have to get passed my doctor's appointment today, which is a follow-up for the treatment I've been under for nearly three months. This Saturday, we are hosting our Pre-Thanksgiving Day Feast. Once that comes together, I will have a great time and enjoy my family and friends as we celebrate.So far, though, all is well in GalacticGal territory. So, please do share how you fared. I have a very sympathetic ear, if you need one. I will even offer you some tea and sympathy, if needed.

Also, I looked up your error, it might be mods related. Try removing your mods folder and deleting your localthumbcache file in the Sims 4 folder then see if it starts up. A lot of mods and even some CC probably broke with this update and you'll have to redownload them once the creators have updated them. If you don't use mods, try first backing up your Sims 4 folder (this is important so you don't lose your save and tray files) and then reinstalling the game. After reinstalling, start it up to see if it runs and if it does, close the game and replace the save folder and tray folder one at a time and see if it loads up. If it doesn't, you may have a corrupt folder or file.

If all else fails, do a game folder refresh. I have been in your shoes, and I totally empathize with your situation. Also, I would contact the ship's Deck Department and insist on a different color tunic. \\// Live long and prosper.

I am doing so much better, I must say, I almost feel human again. If we can manage to get to the store and get our turkey and the ham (there's a good 25 of us), I will feel a whole lot better, as in more in control.

No issues here. I've made a habit of repairing the game after every update. It launched and is running just fine. I don't use mods or cc currently. I'm sure that helped.

It plays, but it's not the 2025 version, that All y'all are on. it's 2017. that said, it IS nice to see old faces that I've not seen in almost Ten Years 😮! I've been missing my Sara Jane Sim (last played on 12/17/17)!

As a small follow-up, I can find no hotfix for MCCC (I even checked Deaderpool's Discord). Phew. Also, I did the same with Road to Fame. According to Sacrificial, himself, his mods made it through! Yay.

I was locked out of the game for about 24-ish hours (technically) even the day before the patch. I repaired, cleared cache, removed mods, etc. dozens of times (plus my PC is new as of this year), but a few hours after the actually patch I eventually got back in (with mods/save files removed), but re-introduced mods/save files and still worked. But yeah I was getting this error for about 24hrs beforehand:
Which makes me think it wasn't 100% my end/fault. I haven't played my game yet today, but I plan to in the next while, so hopefully still working XD

I went Well beyond trying that!
After removing my screenshots, mods, and saves, I actually deleted the Current version of the Sims4 game and installed a 2014 (back up) that I have.
It has nothing on it (no mods, pics, saves, or Anything) ! It's a clean backup, that I have for emergencies like this.
In theory, after installing, the game is Forced to update Everything and (hopefully) "unclog the drain" 😉 !
Well, I did the uninstall and then the reinstall (of the 2014) . I did Not put anything back in it (mods or saves) - wanna get it working.
It took longer this time, because it had to update All the files... this time! THEN finally...
BAM! Same error 😭 !
I'll be honest with you, this one has me scratching my head!

Happy to hear your game update went smoothly 😁 The worry before an update is so nerve wracking. I haven't had time to do the update here yet I'm on PlayStation and have no idea how many gigabytes it is, my ps4 is capped at 20mbs a sec but I barely get 4-7 mbs on WiFi so could take ages and ages and ages, might be done by Xmas 🤣 glad to hear you are starting to feel better, long term health conditions are so hard 😔x
