So, Did You Weather the Patch Okay?

I just have to say I was terrified. Most of the bigger patches have ruined my game saves. So far, and I played for a good two hours yesterday, things seem to be running just fine. Phew! I'd like to say I dodged that Phaser blast. (Star Trek reference for those who don't get it.) Road to Fame, which I did NOT remove, is working so far. I have to test it more thoroughly by sending my Rock Star to a live concert, over the 'away' concert the Rabbit Hole. I will also have to test out the magazine shoot by having my Sim ask them to come to him, which makes it live.

I was also so very astonished at how quickly the patch downloaded and was installed. I either have a great rig, and/or my WIFY is living up to the advertisements on TV. Go Xfinity!

MCCC so far shows no problems. I do have to check the list, just to be doubly certain. But all of that anxiety I went through has been abated. Thankfully, the election is over with, too. Now, I just have to get passed my doctor's appointment today, which is a follow-up for the treatment I've been under for nearly three months. This Saturday, we are hosting our Pre-Thanksgiving Day Feast. Once that comes together, I will have a great time and enjoy my family and friends as we celebrate.

So far, though, all is well in GalacticGal territory. So, please do share how you fared. I have a very sympathetic ear, if you need one. I will even offer you some tea and sympathy, if needed.

I am so sorry to hear that. I like the advice you've already been given on just how to get over this. I will also offer up, that a game repair might be in order, too. If all else fails, do a game folder refresh. I have been in your shoes, and I totally empathize with your situation. Also, I would contact the ship's Deck Department and insist on a different color tunic. \\// Live long and prosper.

I was just coming on here to see if anyone has had issues with the patch because I have the same trepidation, lol. So far things look pretty quiet so that's a good sign. I'd love to hear from Occult players specifically though, to know how they fare.

5782341b77vl Oh no! The worst has happened! I'm sorry to see that. But lol at your red shirt comment. Also, I looked up your error, it might be mods related. Try removing your mods folder and deleting your localthumbcache file in the Sims 4 folder then see if it starts up. A lot of mods and even some CC probably broke with this update and you'll have to redownload them once the creators have updated them.

If you don't use mods, try first backing up your Sims 4 folder (this is important so you don't lose your save and tray files) and then reinstalling the game. After reinstalling, start it up to see if it runs and if it does, close the game and replace the save folder and tray folder one at a time and see if it loads up. If it doesn't, you may have a corrupt folder or file.
