So in the past whenever we got Seasons or vacations we also got the winter activities to go with that. Now the pack has been split up (which honestly I don't know what I think of this...) But that's not the point.
I wanted to ask what do you think how this EP is going to work without Seasons. Is there going to be snow in a non seasons pack?
Is it going to be always snowy?
What are your guesses? And what would you ideally like to see?
The only time we got snow and winter activities in a vacation pack was TS1 Vacation/On Holiday, and in all likelihood will function the same in this EP, ie, a permasnow world without snowfall effects, a white terrain like Vacation Island.
Seasons will add snowfall effect (and snow in the town), the Seasons snow activities, and death by freezing.
@Thetford the Sims 3 had a really packed Seasons EP yet also came with more snow activities than the Sims 4 like the igloos and snowboarding. It was not much sure but at least it had some stuff and not a dedicated pack to winter activities. This is so specific it's hilarious.
Also the Sims 2 bon voyage came with 3 customizable vacation worlds and had both far east vacation and mountain vacation activities. Also the ability to create your own vacation world.
I doubt the Sims 4 Snowy Escape will be up to par with those packs sorry.
It was packed with snow activities yes, but let us not forget how many new features seasons also have in other season.
That EP is not focusing on one weather type. Rather, all four seasons, from activities, to revamps of all the worlds from launch, and etc. Remember this is an expansion pack. Snow Activities are not the only features coming in this pack. Let's do not forget that.
I'm not sure that not only snow features will come cause really what else are they going to put in this EP? Mountains and snow is what I think fits.
Only thing they could give us too would be hotels but that's all. I guess we'll have to see today but judging by the Sims 4's past it will be another less good EP compared to previous games like always.
