I am glad you enjoy for the most part.
I find the sims expressive which I like. They have different personalities. One may like to read but another decided to pick up programming on her own and even created a mod on her own which no other sim has done. They all seem to have different interest. I had a kleptomaniac that got tense when she does take things and will always take things from work, I had angry sims stomp around, slam things and pick fights as they were hot-headed, goofballs will greet sims differently, etc...it is as deep as you make it; but they do plenty on their own if you let them. Even with family sims, children will hug their parents, parents will tutor their children, etc...a lot small details you may miss if not paying attention or just speed up the game. Somethings I didn't even know about for a long time.
The game has always been about letting players chose what they want, which is what I really like.
It is stable, more customization which is great. Now I can pick hats for different hair styles and can layer accessories which really allowed me to creates how I wanted. I actually can build lots without crashing or taking forever. I used to avoid building.
Also funny watching them learn new skills. Cooking they will drop things, hit the pan trying to keep food from burning, etc...
One bride even smashed a piece of cake in her husbands face like in the trailer. Only happened once; but that was so funny to see.
One vampire got upset after a break up and kept wanting to go outside and had to keep sending her back inside as she didn't have the sun resistant trait yet. I actually felt sad for her. She had that weakness of uncontrollable hissing, so sims didn't like her much and her relationship dropped.
