SP team creates packs with items/features that the EP team (and probably GP team) has no intention of making, for any number of reasons.

Cats & Dogs is not an all-pets exclusive EP, otherwise it would've been called PETS. :|

This pack and the C&D pack were developed seperately, finished seperately, and it's highly doubtful that this new pack could've been included in the previous 4 MONTHS prior to its current completion. Do you think packs just sit around on the shelf for up to half a year awaiting release or something?

You could say that no Sims game ever should have dlc. It should just be basegame only. If it's not included in the base game, oh well, we shouldn't have it. Or it should be free, because you know, the gurus live on pixie dust and miracles.

I am not going to lie, I actually really want this stuff pack to come, plus teaser's never really show you anything. I am sure there is much more then what it seems, especially since they been bringing us amazing packs like cats and dogs, jungle adventure, Laundry stuff was really cool because we all had a say, vampires and ect. I am not worried at all. I am sure it will be a great pack:)))

Not sure what people have against rodents. I don't see why it's so apparently shocking that some people want pet rats/mice/hamsters/whatever-it-is. There are people who love these animals, you know. They're cute and cuddly and rats are smart enough to learn tricks.

I really wish for ferrets though. They're the third most popular pet in the US yet to date they're not in any Sims game.

It has nothing to do with the content, but rather the means in which they are delivering this content.

I was referring to the OP when he replied to someone with 'how are you excited for a rodent.' He sounds like he's shocked that anyone could be excited to have a rodent for a pet.

The more I think about this 'it should've been in C&D' nonsense, the more annoyed I get. Aliens and Vampires should've been included in a Supernaturals EP too, right? It's not like Vampires are pretty much the best they've ever been in the series because they were focused on or anything. It's not like Aliens are a prime example of what happens when certain things are NOT the focus of a pack.

And no, C&D shouldn't have been a GP. It has the vet career, a bigger world than FH, more items than a GP, etc. Unless of course you're saying you'd rather have a Cats GP, and then a Dogs GP? :p

Again, it's all knee jerk hyperbole. We don't even know what's in the new small pets pack yet and it's 'the worst thing ever'. :|

That’s not what I said at all. I said this one new pet would have fit with Cats and Dogs, but instead of making a $40 Pets EP Maxis chose to piecemeal them off for more $$$$$$$.

This new pack was in development for at least the last year, right alongside the expansion. You want to tell me it’s just a coincidence? No... it’s not.

yeah well clearly they are not in the wrong to be excited for this but i also do not think i am in the wrong to be shocked and confused they are excited for it.

I am also shocked and confused to learn that people would be so exited to used their once-in-a-year chance to get some liquid/solid water to fall from sky or some yellow/red leaves to fall from trees, but hey I do understand that other people think differently than I do and will not open a thread to tell everyone with positive comments about seasons how weird I find their thoughts to be.

oh yeah because a hamaster is so much cooler then weather effects in the game that actually affect your sims.(plus i am sure they can and will add other things)

For me, sure! I live in somewhere with no more than five rainy days per year and I do have a lovely hammy irl. If I wanna duplicate my rl in the sims the hamster pack is of course much more important than the season pack. Like I said people live in different situations and have different thoughts and it won't make them accept yours by being so sarcastic on their opinions.
