I've said in the other thread, but I wonder if it's more general than interior design. That might be the new career, but the 'requests' in the post also point to creative hobbies, like fashion or painting. It might be a hobbies pack, but with a bit of focus on the new career for now just because that's easier to describe in previews.
That said, they might go really hard on buildings. People have been talking about a new trait slot coming up - maybe it's a preference for what kind of home you want to live in? And if you buy the wrong one, or your interior designer gets your commission wrong, you end up really miserable living in a place you don't like.
pls sewing, even pottery!!!! - DaWaterRat4 years agoSeasoned AceIf it's hobbies, that will be cool
I'll admit I can't see myself ever using an Interior Design career. I don't use the Stylist Career at all either. I know what I like, and I know that what I like is rarely what's "on trend"
But the Build Buy should be pretty neat and versitile. - Fluteline244 years agoSeasoned AceHow boring. ?
- DomainGoat904 years agoSeasoned AceLike I mentioned in another thread already:
I am Not too amazed by the initial hints pointing at the interior designer career. I am really curious what makes this a separate GamePack instead of a (side) feature of another pack.
I think this one will be incredibly niche again. Hopefully they will add more tools for building and decorating in general (hello, Create a Style?) But I think that (Create a Style) will be very unlikely. - JanuaryGarnet084 years agoSeasoned AceEvery picture is asking for a room redesign so I think it’s an interior design GP with an interior designer career.
- So we have to pay 20 Euros for doing the same thing as we do in build mode but with a loading screen in between?

That's my thoughts as well. Hopefully this "gamepack" has more to offer than a very basic career tie into build mode- What if there’s an upholstery type skill in this pack? Where you can fix up broken and old furniture?
- Mk_27904 years agoNew SpectatorOk, maybe the interior design career doesn't hype me a lot, but I'm only hoping for new skills and tools for build.
For example, pottery or sewing can be a thing to design courtains, carpets, decorative vessels or dishes, like in TS2 Freetime.
Also, build tools like ceiling painting, despite it can be added later as a BG update like Eco Lifestyle ladders. Just maybe... spiral staircases? Like ladders too, a BG update with a single model while the owners of the pack can have between 3 to 4 models. - This definitely seems like an interior design career. We don't know yet if that's all it will contain, so I don't want to complain too much yet. But if an interior design career is the only thing coming with the pack, I'll be unhappy. I don't believe this is a theme that should fill up a whole GP, unless it adds greatly to build/buy in general - painting ceilings, spiral staircases, beams etc.
I feel that interior design should be one of two or three careers added in an EP, alongside careers like fashion design and stylist. This isn't just bc I'm thinking of TS3 Ambitions, it's bc an interior design career adds next to no new gameplay - we can build houses already, now sims just get payed when we do it and we get checklists of requirements. It could easily be added to a pack almost as an after-thought. So what are they going to do with it to warrant an entire GP dedicated to it?
This isn't an Eco Living case. It was a bizarre theme for an EP, imo, but it still added quite a number of hobbies and homesteading options. It has more gameplay than Snowy Escape, for example. This pack is only advertised as being a career. Paranormal SP had a career with completely new gameplay in a SP, which has a much smaller budget than a GP.
I'd greatly appreciate love directed at builders in build mode, not just by adding furniture. I'm just very unsure about how it seems like it might be implemented. Quite a few simmers have been asking for a build pack for a few years, so it wouldn't be something no one wanted. Just...
