Hey guys! So I am having a serious issue with multiple births. Out of my first 3 pregnancies, I had one set of triplets and two sets of twins. A bit annoyed with all the multiple births, I downloaded the 'Number of babies odds modifier' mod to try to make the chances; Single Child: 94%, Twins: 5%, and Triplets: 1%. Since then I've had 5 more pairs of twins, one more set of triplets, and only 3 single child births. I should add that one of these single child births was likely because I ran out of space in the household. None of my sims have the fertility trait, and I definitely don't try to do anything to encourage multiple births, so what is with this? I don't mind twins or triplets every once in awhile but this is getting a bit ridiculous. I googled it and saw many others had the same problem with a patch about 2 years ago, but that should be long fixed and my game is up to date. Is anyone else having this problem?

If your sim is watching children's TV they greatly increase their chances of multiples! I tried it when the game first came out and had triplets. I watch my sims carefully now to make sure they aren't watching the wrong channels when pregnant. I have had a family that had at least one set of twins in each generation without the TV but that's pretty rare. Make sure no TVs tune in to the kid's channel while pregnant and that may help. I don't know about the mod though I'm just talking vanilla game.

Are you rotating while the sim is pregnant? Are you playing with the household that has the pregnant sim in it? Because if not that could be causing it. I noticed in my game the townies always seem to have a set of twins when they deliver I've only had maybe 3 deliver single births but I have MC Command Center installed and I only play one household per saved game

I have the same issue in my game. Way to many twins and triplets to be realistic. The only CC I use in MC command center and it doesn't fix the issue either since you can't set odds for twins/triplets. Just another issue on the very long list of TS4 bugs.

Hello.

It's likely that the mod you're using is out of date / broken.
I'd suggest removing it, and seeing if that fixes the problem.
I'm not experienced with MC Command Center (which has a lot of other features), but I do use a mod to control only pregnancies if I ever want/need to. It's called Pregnancy Mega Mod.

I haven't had that many multiple births, but to be honest, I have only had about 20ish kids and out of all of them I have only had one set of twins.

When I rotate houses and leave a woman pregnant she ends up having multiple kids. I hate it. If I hook someone up with a townie and get them pregnant they also have multiples.

I only have 3 sets of twins out of around 20 births. Still haven't encountered any triplets yet.

Try watching the kid's channel on TV. It's never failed to give me multiples.
