Maybe it would be better to treat TS4 as a new game and not expect it to have the same things as previous versions. I don't think things are missing and it hasn't veered off at all, it's something different. There would be a lot more complaints if TS4 was just a clone of 2 and 3. If people really miss the features of 2 and 3 then maybe it would be better to play those games instead of 4?
I have to disagree, for one toddlers are missing and a whole lot of people want them back. Each other iteration improved on the one before, Sims 4 went backward. Lots of things were missing at launch that were in the previous games and they are still missing. If sims 4 is that different it shouldn't have been called "4".
