Something needs to be done with writing and painting

Then I must have bugs because my Sims aren't getting rich writing books outside the career. For example my Dr. Watson is only getting $9.00 for his novel The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. It started out as $12 but each time the worth goes down. And my painters though high painting skills Aren't making thousands on paintings, either. No matter the mood, or type of painting. As a matter of fact they wouldn't be able to live on what they get.
