Well that’s entirely their own fault. No need to try and guilt trip people into begrudgingly purchasing a pack, because you think that’s going to result in a farming GP. It won’t, but it will tell Maxis that DLC for DLC is acceptable. Not sure what you are really going for.
I’m sorry, but there is a reason we have never gotten a full on farming pack. That reason is due to demand, and how such a pack would have incredibly limited appeal. They have the numbers already with Sims 3 store. Could we see something along the lines of what Sims 3 store offered? Yeah, anything bigger or deeper is going to throw a lot of people off the hype train.
