Sounding like Island Living is a Vacation Pack?
The description doesn't specifically state this is a vacation pack or and actual world where you can live and build a home.

this is NOT a vaction pack since you can LIVE in the world-you couldn't do that with the "Bon Voyage" in the Sims 2 or the "Vaction EP" of the Sims 1. You couldn't do it in World Adventures (which wasn't really a vaction EP) with the Sims 3.
