Yes, they would have been nice to have. I don't know why in TS4 it's not possible to get money from things like massages, coffee cart tending, bar tending, etc. It used to be possible in TS2. We have to pay the NPCs 100 simoleons for the privilege of showing up to a lot, my sims would be happy to earn that much for a few hours of work as a side hustle at least.
So true... I like my Sims to have as many money-making options as possible. I don't know why the game has those limitations. It would be great to have more casual employment options to boost your income.
