Now, I looked for this: I lived in a house where the stairs went to the 2nd floor, not only from the entry way, but also from the kitchen. You can only use one word, unless you know the name of the...
My Grand Uncle and his wife purchased a house in Los Angeles, CA, that was purportedly built by a Civil War veteran for his bride. It was a fine old house. My Grand Aunt explained that in the kitchen there were large bins that were used to house flour and stuff of that nature. The entryway (foyer) was wide and L-Shaped. You walked passed the livingroom, on the left and the only bedroom (or Study) on the right. Turning right and set back a bit was the staircase. It had about two or three steps up on the wide base then you turned left to climb the rest of the stairs upward. Part of the reason the last step (landing) was so long was a door, on an angle opened onto it, from the kitchen. This was the Maid's entrance. Impossible to build in the game, since we STILL can't place workable stairs on an angle. But I loved that house so much I've built a rendition of it in every single Sims iteration I have played.
