Stans, Paparazzi and fences

For the first time with a celebrity Sim I have her (well them) living in a house instead of an apartment.

Immediately I get invaded by Stans and Paparazzi.

A fence is needed but I have two issues:
1. I really really REALLY don't to fence in the back yard since that would ruin the whole idea of living at Chateau Peak (one story house, huge windows towards the cliff. Fence = removing the view)
2. Having to remove tons of decorations that would clip thru the fence (I loathe visible clipping and just spent 30 minutes fixing all the plants clipping thru the window and walls after downloading this house).

Any tips for best way to fence out pests?

  • There are in the fence section some low laying strips that sims have to walk around. Sim can't just walk over it. To find which one they are, test the ones you have in build mode because at the moment I can't remember which ones they are and I'm not in my game at the moment. Then using move objects cheat place plant life over them to hide them. You could do this for the back yard.
  • You could always try to use the rope fence. That should keep out all Sims, but those of celebrity. Me, I don't mind fences. I'm in the 'fences create good neighbors' crowd.
  • You can use the lot trait that avoids other Sims pestering you. As far as I know, it works for paparazzis on residential lots.

    Definitely worth testing!! Thank you.
  • I have to admit when I lovingly built my Global Superstar's home, not only did I fence it, but along the back fence in that tiny square behind it, I placed some very lovely skinny trees for added privacy. Don't want the paparazzi sneaking shots should my star decide to skinny dip, you know?

I sacrificed a lot trait for Private Dwelling. Let's see if it works .
