Star Wars: Control panel slicing

Question

Hi guys, it's been awhile since I was last on here. :)
Anyways, I have a question to ask. How long should it take to slice a control panel in the First Order distict of Batuu on PS4? I had tried to disruped the First Order communications by doing so. I have had my sim there for what seems like days in the game. But it seems like all my sim gets to do is practice slicing the control panel. :/

you have to scan it first to get the right option (the one with a green thumb up), also for communications you gotta go to the comm tower.
if it's a bug I'd try canceling the mission and than starting/acceppting it again.

I did scan it first, and I still didn't get the green thumb to slice the control panel. All my sims get is practice slicing the thing. I did cancel that mission. But I haven't restarted it yet.
