Hm, I think there used to be a notification?* I played rotationally, so I didn't focus much on this event.
Had a sim attend last night in the hope of her getting an award, but nope. She is a 4 stars celebrity, but I'm not sure the game actually recognizes that she works as a singer. Will the game only nominate sims with real creative careers, like Musician, Actress or Novelist? And is there a rule they must have minimum 3 fame stars to win? I noticed there were plenty of 3 stars celebs attending, saw nobody with fewer stars.
Added: seeing haneul's reply below - perhaps the notifications stopped when the calendar was added to base game?
