The trick to winning for something that isn't an official career is that you have to license something. So, you're singer will have to compose and license a song to be noticed by the awards panel. She can't just sing live.
Thanks. My Singer does earn royalties regularly though, so I think she might have licensed something in the past. But I'm playing on rotation, so I probably did not play her household on the day(?) the nominations are announced.
