I've used the same save since the 24-hour trial and my save is not corrupted. I am actually using a backup copy of the save now though (not because of corruption). So it's basically the same save. When something goes wrong, I usually repair the game and the problem is usually solved. It's probably a good idea to make backups of your saves and save copies of your buildings and sims.
