Still Pondering the Fate of Erik Cantrell
Hi. It's been a few days, and I still haven't settled on which direction to take my story. I've done more work on the original update, but despite numerous edits, I'm uncertain I like the direction...

I’ve always enjoyed reading about Eric, Kayleigh and the family, so I’m sad the game is giving you so much trouble that it is impacting your enjoyment. To me the most important thing is you enjoying your game. Take some time away and let things settle for awhile. You may find you are reinvigorated or that you are ready to move on to something new. Whatever your decision, I know I will be here to enjoy whatever story you are creating.
Thank you so much. I spent time, all day yesterday, getting my game Mods folder revamped. For a short time I could have mods for both saves (Cantrell and my new oner) in one folder and it worked. For a time. The patch hit, that I mistakenly thought was only for the anniversary, but was THE Patch from a very hot place . . .
The point being, that when I was able to pull things from the Sims 4 folder, such as the Mods, which were having fits, I was able to get the game to actually play, visibly on the screen! And not hiding in the background, as before. It did set my Cantrell save back to the tail end of the Baby Shower, when Kayleigh went into labor. I'm still playing catch-up. Thankfully, I did start an update from what took place a bit later. The one mentioned above. I've been editing it a tad, trying to find the correct path for it. Good news, I'll be posting it soon, I hope. No, it's not the end.
I was able to pull the two families from my new save and the builds (each family's home lot) into the new empty Tray. I worked out the mods folder, again, to allow the mods/cc for each save, as before, only lighter, if you will. So far, so good.
I did a game repair since Erik and Kayleigh were again, (for a third time) afflicted with that relation-breaking game bug. Erik will continue on.
I will take breaks from time to time, to play the new save, which has its own way of rejuvenating me.
