This is honestly in my top 3 pet peeves. Especially when you have a large household and an hour or two gets wasted on dish washing after the meal because everyone will wander off to a different sink in the house to wash their individual plate :/
I've been told canceling out the interaction every time will eventually make the sim "remember" they're not supposed to do that but I have yet to see that happen in my game.
