Stop making food when another sim is cooking!!!!!

I find this about as annoying as the next person. I ended up going into buy mode when the other sim is cooking and putting all cooking appliances in the family inventory until the sim who is cooking is finished. Also another method I do is engage the sims in an activity until the other sim is done cooking.
