I had to use other since it's a yes and a no for me. No, I don't use cheats for storytelling in TS4, only for building with in-game cheats such as MOO, SHO and money cheats. I play a vanilla game with no mods and no CC.
However, in TS2, I used just about every cheat, mod and CC you can imagine for gameplay, building and story telling. I loved pose boxes, the fact I could move objects AND my Sims with MOO, CC for everything from skins to hair, make-up, clothing, etc., build/buy objects from others and those I made myself with Body Shop and an immense list of Mods that would take all day to list. lol
I really only made a couple stories though and two music videos that took months to finish. It was fun! I used a lot of the aforementioned cheats to set up still shots and short ad videos for contests/challenges on my TS2 forum/website as well. One day I might do the same in TS4, but so far, nah. *shrugs*
