- OldeSimsFanNew TravelerI have both of them, and can say from experience Jungle Adventures is the way to go! There is much more to see and do, skills to gain, new friends to make and food to eat. A new dance to add to your repitoire, incredibly beautiful scenery - especially if you move the camera around, and what can be a very lucrative side job. Strangerville is meh all around, unfortunate as there is a lot of potential that wasn't taken advantage of.
- JA for sure. It's one of my favourites to play. Great for adding some adventure and treasure hunting to the game. I'd you are into collecting with yours Sims then it's an awesome addition.
- This was difficult. Jungle adventure has more replay going for it, but as a builder I like the strangerville world and the grungy build/buy assets.
- ChampandGirlieNew SpectatorThis is actually a tough one for me. I recently played StrangerVille and I actually thought it was fun, though no, I probably wouldn't replay the mystery again. I'm very much a person who solved it and will incorporate the normal town. I like it as a different environment - small and quaint with a rugged but historic vibe.
I do wish I could liven the town up a little now that I've solved the mystery. I really want to add a restaurant to the downtown but I haven't figured out where I want to put it. I've converted bars in other worlds but that one is really unique. I send the sims from there to Oasis Springs a lot as the livelier place. I'll figure out what I want to do and then I'll probably keep those sims there and only in the other desert worlds.
I also really like JA though. I send some sims there. I think that either pack is a good choice depending on how you like to play and what items you want in your game. JA is probably more replayable unless you really like apocalyptic play. I thought that was interesting but I was glad to finish it. I do think that StrangerVille is not that far from realism in some ways. There can be a realistic explanation or a supernatural explanation to "most" of the events depending on how you look at them. - I would say Strangerville, just because it’s usable in more situations. You get a livable world, a new career, and new items you don’t have to go to the other world to use.
Like JA is fun, but I’ve had it for over a year and I’m only just now really diving into it as I have two legacy kids (the heir and spare) that both rolled the Jungle Explorer aspiration. It’s interesting but it’s a LOT of grinding and RNG. And because you can’t live in the world you can really even passively get the benefits of the world if you aren’t using it. - simsimsereNew AdventurerI thought for long but ended up voting for Strangerville. It's mostly because I find the world with all it's quirks so interesting. There's a crashed plane and trailer park lot but also a neighbourhood with no deco houses to build however you want. I don't plan to replay the mystery any time soon but it took me long time to revisit the jungle as well. The gameplay in both packs is just okay in my opinion. That's why I think the question is mostly about do you want a stunning vacation world or a strange town to live in.
- alanmichael1Seasoned HotshotBoth are good, but SV is much more unique.

Thanks everyone for the feed back.
I think I’ll go for Jungle Adventure It sounds like I’d enjoy it more. (I’ll get Strangerville at some point, maybe next sale) :)
Vampire Life State if your into that 'breaks' the challenge of the jungle (as the only 'time' you'd really can buy supplies are in day but for temple finding and exploring you'll basically defeat the challenge as you only have 4 needs and thuscan take like 2 days grabbing every artifact)
Also The temple changes every vacation not day.- bshag4lvSeasoned AdventurerI love JA as I have a family of archeologists who visit the jungle regularly. I love the bar, dancing the Rumbasim, learning the receipes and just running around digging up stuff. My sims have become quite rich from digging in the dirt! :D
